Goal 1: To improve participants' academic performance through academic enrichment activities. Students receive one-on-one academic assistance through Princeton Review - Homeroom.com an Illinois State Testing Assessment.
Goal 2: To improve opportunities for building positive social relationships through creative forms of self-expression, including supervised sports, recreation, arts, and cultural activities.
Goal 3: To provide opportunities for learning positive social behaviors.
Goal 4: To foster positive life choices that discourages harmful risk-taking behaviors through life skills education.
Goal 5: Provide youth with mentoring opportunities to develop and maintain positive relationships with adults.
Additionally, the program encourages greater parental,
community and organizational involvement with the children
who participate in Beyond the Bell by providing volunteer
opportunities, sponsoring field trips, and offering
other activities that support direct interaction with
participating youth.
